There's nothing in there. Just a bunch of soggy, old, balsa wood I'm sure.

Nothing at all.

Red!?.....you mean like Panama Red?

Nope Steve and it's not 'BC Bud' either!

Charlie, the red you see through that bag is just more packing.

Don, I am still working on the Acacia, I received four sets that are sort of a mid grade, I sold one to one of my regular guys and the others are earmarked for future guitars already. But I am still working on the best route to get that wood here at a reasonable cost so that we can all have access to it. I heard that one of the bigger luthier suppliers just paid big bucks to get some of this species into the US. All of that will start to make this stuff as expensive as it's cousin!

Bruce, YOU'RE PARTLY RIGHT!!

Rod, sorry...too heavy for balsa wood, even soaking wet balsa wood, those 12 little packages had a shipping weight of 465 lbs!

So here it is!

East Indian Rosewood back and sides, bridge and fingerboard blanks and Ebony bridge and fingerboard blanks and headplate veneers.

This wood has been in those burlap sacks since at least August 22nd when it was loaded on the freighter in India. I sanded two sets tonight and they feel pretty dry but I have all of the wood stickered with fans on it and I won't send anything out until at least a week Monday, I want to make sure that there is no residual moisture.

I have updated my website (been a lot of that going on lately!) to include these woods and they are described here. Remember, all OLF registered members receive 10% off the listed prices.

Sorry for the suspence but it was kinda fun !

Thanks for having a peek!
